The Best Ways to Save Money This Year
You Need a Budget – Honestly, I never really budgeted my money until a couple of months ago and this is the program that finally got me started! Other budgeting programs I tried seemed too complicated and I just couldn’t set them up, much less actually stick with them. You Need a Budget, however, is a great program for budgeting newbies! They have free webinars on saving money and how to budget that were so helpful with getting started. I especially loved the webinars they offered on saving money on food and how to budget when you have credit cards or irregular income. Check them out, your finances will definitely thank you for it!
Digit – Digit is the best way to save money effortlessly! Once you sign up with Digit, they have some fancy algorithm (or magic sorcery) that tells them how much you can afford to save and they do the saving for you. Best of all, they guarantee that you won’t over-draft by using Digit or they will pay the fee for you! I absolutely love Digit. The money saved adds up so quickly and it is money that I would never have saved otherwise. It’s like finding a $20 bill in a purse you haven’t used for a year!
Honey – Honey is by far my new favorite thing for shopping online! Honey is an extension for Google Chrome that automatically finds all available coupon codes and applies the one that will save you the most money. It is so effortless, no more googling to find the best coupon codes! You can even earn points from each shopping trip that you can convert to Amazon gift cards. Get an additional $5 with your first purchase when you join here. I might even love it more than Ebates!
Trim – Trim is like a personal finance assistant that takes care of your money so you don’t have to. Just link your accounts and Trim will cancel old, unwanted subscriptions that you forgot you even had and they will try to have overdraft and late fees reversed for you. You can even set up spending alerts so you know if you are running low in your bank account or if you had a large draft. I love saving money effortlessly and this company does just that for me!
Ibotta – Far and away my favorite app for saving money. I mean, saving money buying groceries without having to search for coupons? I’m all in. Ibotta gives you cash back on groceries that you normally buy (like milk, produce, bananas, sometimes even diapers!). You can redeem your cash back for actual cash through PayPal or redeem it for gift cards to your favorite stores. I’ve even used my Ibotta earnings to get free clothes from Express! Get $10 after you redeem your first offer when you sign up here.
